Celebrate the closing weekend of the Carter-organized exhibition The World Outside: Louise Nevelson at Midcentury with tours, art making, gallery activities, and more!

Docent Guided Tour | The World Outside
Join a Carter docent and explore over 50 defining artworks by postwar artist Louise Nevelson, including wall works, installations, drawings, and prints from across the country.

11 a.m.–4 p.m.

Family Scavenger Hunt | The World Outside
Pick up a scavenger hunt and see how many objects you can find within Nevelson’s sculptures!

Audio Stops | The World Outside
Check out the audio stops in the exhibition and hear contemporary artists, curators, and others as they share insight on Nevelson’s life and work.

Family Pop-up activity | Atrium
Create your own soft assemblage inspired by Louise Nevelson’s sculptural landscapes.

Exhibition Hosts | The World Outside
Chat with a Carter Exhibition Host who can share an exhibition introduction, offer artwork insight, answer questions, and help you navigate your way through Nevelson’s wall works, installations, and prints.

Monochromatic Printmaking | Library
Create your own monochromatic artwork inspired by Nevelson’s sculptures. Led by Carter Community Artist Rebecca Shewmaker. Supplies limited to the first 200 people.
