Rights and Reproductions

Images from the Amon Carter Museum of American Art's collection are available for research and publication. The museum does not grant permission for use of its images in commercial advertising or for use of images taken from already published material. Photographic materials must be obtained directly from the Rights and Reproductions Department.

Images for reference can be found in publications such as An American Collection: Works from the Amon Carter Museum; An American Album: Highlights from the Collection of the Amon Carter Museum; and The Grand Frontier: Remington and Russell in the Amon Carter Museum. These and other publications on the Carter’s collection are available for reference in the museum library or from the Museum Store.

Prepayment is required in the form of checks payable in U.S. dollars, wire transfers, money orders or credit card. Return the form with your payment and allow 2–4 weeks (after payment is received) for your request to be processed.

Professional journalists may request images to accompany media coverage of the museum, its special exhibitions, and its permanent collection installations from the Public Relations Department.
